Story
I realised last year that I was still grieving for my sister Frankie who passed away so many years ago. Still not able to laugh and giggle about her, and yet we did used to laugh and giggle so very much together. Still missing her I guess, maybe I haven't said goodbye properly yet.
So I thought about doing another charity cycle in her name. I know she would be so proud of me cycling and putting the effort and time into training and fundraising for good causes. We loved each other very much.
I think this charity would be very apt for Frankie. She loved children, loved working with children and was planning to go into teaching. She believed ardently in children playing and doing sports and if she were still around would likely be involved in this charity or something similar.
Children have the right to feel loved, cared for and secure. Most importantly their biggest worry should be "when can I go out to play next"..... it is our duty as adults to always protect and care for our children and by that I don't mean "our" children. All children of the world are our children,,, each and every one!
So "Right To Play",,,, what is this charity about? Go and check it out at http://www.righttoplay.com/uk/about-us/Pages/mission.aspx
It is all about aiding children through sport. I believe in this.
Maybe after the 340 miles,,,, I will be giggling and laughing :)....
