Story
Hi! :)
As many of you know, I love cycling apart from: rain, wind, hills, down-hills, cars, horses, pot holes............. uhm yep that's about it the rest is wonderful! :) I've done loads of training and exercising and now am ready for this big challenge, London to Paris.
Of course it is for a good cause and this event in particular is for the U-Foundation www.theufoundation.org. This is truly a wonderful charity helping people in Zambia to achieve self sustainability. The Foundation currently has four projects ongoing in four different towns including the provision of schools, nurserys and clinics providing basic health care free, take a look via the link.
My dear friend Anna, also doing the cycle, visited a school village and met many of those working in the foundation last year when she was married in Zambia and her enthusiasm has engaged me.
So, if you would be so kind as to donate to this Charity and help me achieve my target of £1100.00, you feel rest assured that your money is being put to a very good cause. Let's remember that just £10.00 can be put to far greater use in Zambia, it can buy a lot more, than here in our world :).
I will be endeavouring to cover the costs of the trip myself as I would like to ensure that all money donated truly goes to the Charity. So please be generous and photos will follow! Think of me slogging up those Chiltern Hills every weekend until this trip trying to get fitter and ready for four days of 70 - 80 miles a day in the saddle.
Please forward this to anyone you feel may also be interested.
Thanks, Julie.
