Story

Thank you for visiting this page. We only set this up as a family as we feel it can benefit others who are going through what Mark went through for so many years. Instead of flowers being sent for the funeral, we ask if anyone does want to contribute then they donate to this page which will be more valuable than you will ever know.

It has been already overwhelming with the amount of messages, cards and flowers that mum has received and we are truly grateful for all your thoughts and prayers. Mark always use to set up this page for his birthday and asked for donations to the MS trust to help research and to help others. He suffered for so many years with the pain both physically and mentally. He fought it all for so long and it is such a vicious, aggressive disease. Last week, he was sent in to intensive care. His bowel perforated and his body was poisoned. He was operated on and given all the help he could but his body was so weak that he couldn’t be brought around fully. He then got pneumonia and was struggling to breathe. On Monday he was given 100% oxygen and we were told there was nothing more they could do. It was extremely hard as a family but we sat with him on Monday evening until the very end. He passed away peacefully with all his family all around him. Bolton Royal Intensive care unit were amazing and we couldn’t have asked for more.  We hope any money raised will help others suffering from MS and give people a hope that one day a cure will be found or at least more treatment can be provided to help manage the pain this awful disease causes.

Mark will forever be in our hearts. He was a son, a brother,  a dad, an uncle and a friend. We will always remember him and he would want others to benefit for this. Thank you x
