Some of you will be aware our son Finn was born with a cleft palate, he received surgery at 12 months
and again when he was 7, without the surgery he was unable to take milk or eat so was tube fed, he suffered delayed speech and has been having speech therapy since he could speak, the next step for him will be lengthy dental &
orthodontic care, because of the country in which we live he is
taken care of by the NHS and we didn’t have to worry financially.

Thinking about Finn when I was out running one day made me
apply for a place in 2022 London Marathon on behalf of the Smile Train,
never in 100 years did I actually think I would get a place, but I
have and I need to raise £2000, please take a look at the info on
the amazing work they do in countries less fortunate than ours, where
children born with these conditions are often ostracized by their villages and are too afraid to go to school for fear of bullying.
