Story
Feeling accomplished, the wife and I are back with another fundraiser...
This time for a charity called FareShare. They work incredibly hard to limit food waste and tackle food poverty head on.
Thanks to their persistence and dedicated volunteers, they’ve saved 460 tonnes of food from going to waste and instead providing thousands of meals at 90 different community organisations... feeding those who need it most via food banks, children centres, lunch clubs and homeless hostels.
Everything counts! here’s what your donations can support:
£1: enables them to distribute £6 worth of food.
£10: provides 50 meals and prevents 21kg from going to waste.
£50: pays for a volunteer to get accredited food hygiene training.
Please help me help them.
This really strikes a chord and I want to help badly.
Especially when a solution exists and is workable. Turning food waste into meals for those who so badly need it.
We’ll be taking part in Just Walk 2018, with a 35km hike across the South Downs on 12th May. It will be a gruelling all-dayer hike with plenty of blisters to look forwards to along the way, rain or shine! Fingers crossed for No beast from the East.. although that wont put us off either!
We’ve got this!
Thanks so much in advance.
