Glasgow Big Fun Run 2010 · 24 July 2010 ·

We're Children's Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS). We care for children throughout Scotland with life-shortening conditions and their families. We make sure that no matter how short their time together may be, it is filled with happiness. Even in the pain of grief, we're determined that joy lives on.

Story

My mum, my aunt and I will be swapping our high heels for trainers and taking part in the Big Fun Run.  Although this thought is traumatic enough for me, it will be an extra special achievement for my mum who has recently undergone a hip replacement.

We would be extremely grateful for any donation you can give to CHAS - this is what will keep us motivated!

Thanks for visiting!

Most people have an idea of what they expect a children’s hospice to be. Life, laughter, love and support may not be the first words that spring to mind, but that’s exactly what the Children’s Hospice Association Scotland (CHAS) offers the children, young people and families who use our services.

Rachel House in Kinross, Robin House in Balloch and CHAS at Home in the Highlands provide support, love and understanding to families facing the future with a child or children not expected to reach adulthood. Our focus is on life and helping our families make the most of every moment together, and although this time may be short we help create memories that will last forever.

It costs us just over £5 million a year to run our hospice services, with the vast majority of this coming from public support. Every donation we get helps us provide our unique service and support and allows us to be there for our families when they need us most
