2 years ago I decided to give myself a challenge and entered the Manchester Marathon for April 2020 - guess what - it never happened!  It was re-scheduled for October 2020 - never happened!  It's now happening on Sunday 10th October 2021.  After a bit of soul searching and a very erratic 'training' program the big day has nearly arrived, and I feel quite badly prepared.  However, I've decided to give it a bash (what can possibly go wrong) and launch myself in with the intention of just making it to the finish line and enjoying the day.  If anyone would like to support me in this effort, I would love any donations - however small - to go to the Lingen Davies Cancer Unit in Shrewsbury.

Cancer will affect 50% of people during their lifetime.  It has affected me and my close family, and I was grateful for help, support and treatment at the Lingen Davies Unit at the time. After a difficult 18 months, Lingen Davies continue to fundraise for equipment to support cancer treatment, and for funds and equipment to help prevent cancer, encourage patients to seek treatment earlier and support the people of Shropshire, Telford & Mid-Wales to live their lives well - during and after treatment.
