Story
A little update of the last 12 months..
So this last 12 months has been amazing, interesting and challenging all in one!
So in January I was issued with my driving license back, this really did have a massive change to my mindset and continued recovery.
With the help of my family and friends February brought about me having the courage to re-open Groomintails.
April saw us opening my shop/unit to run Groomintails from.
As you can see life is so much better for me. I do still have some off days and I do have to ride the storm, but when I look back to where I was, (if read all of this from the bottom up, you will get a taste of the full picture)
I am so very thankful to the Walton Centre and the Brain Tumour Charity for all they did for me and my family.
I hope that I will always be able to do this annual Twilight Walk. For some friends that have battled with Brain Tumours that wont be the case. I have lost a very close friend just this year and two friends, who I met through the charity, died last year.
So this year there are even more reasons for me to achieve this walk.
For Bob, Iona and Cariss
If you would like to join our walk, fab just let me know. If you can donate, thank you so very much.
But please, please share this just giving page far and wide so that we can raise as much money and awareness as we can.
Thank you so very much
Julie ❤️😘
We are gearing up to do our 2nd Twilight Walk on Sunday 7th October in aid of the Brain Tumour Charity.
One of the many things this charity does is to help fund some of the fantastic Specialist Nurses that help people like me. Without my angel of a nurse, I’m not sure if I would have had my surgery when I did. She was my/our true advocate and did all she could to get me in front of the right person. Her support on some very grim days, was above and beyond. She has a very special place in my heart ❤️
So below is where we were at last year, I am so grateful for the 2nd chance I have been given. I know it’s not always going to be easy, but I intend to enjoy every moment.
If you would like to join our walk, fab just let me know. If you can donate, thank you so very much.

Last years story, as it was then 😢
As most of you are aware I was diagnosed with an Epidermoid Brain Tumor in March 2016.
It had been well behaved and caused me no problems until the end of April this year when my life was turned upside down, literally! Some strange symptoms started to plague me and got progressively worse. The team at The Walton Centre confirmed that the squatter has grown. Although surgery was booked it was then cancelled, due to it being a dangerous little bugger and so the symptoms are progressive and life is strained.
My family and friends are wonderful, but there are some hard bits that I can't share.
That is where The Brain Tumor Charity has stepped up and is helping me and thousands of others like me, deal with the changes these Tumors are causing to our lives.
This all may sound rather daunting, and I suppose it is, but, I am still Julie, I still love to laugh and share life with you all and I won't just give up.
Please support me and my team with as much as you can, as the saying goes, every little helps.
