I'm raising money for St Peter’s Hospice in Bristol. The work they do is amazing. All of their care is provided free of charge. It costs over £6.5million per year and the NHS contributes just 25% of their annual running costs. For the rest they are totally reliant on the generosity of the public so please dig deep and donate now.  Your donation can make a difference to the patients they care for.  For example £15 could cover the cost of aromatherapy treatments for two people in the Day Hospice, and £25 could pay for two hours of at home care.  My Mum was diagnosed with lung cancer in February.  It was such a shock especially as no curative treatments were available to her.  We were immediately referred to the Hospice Team and they have given us so much support. Mum is benefiting from their Day Hospice and their Breathing & Fatigue Course and they helped me with practical and emotional advice on their Carer's Course.  Until now I didn't realise how much they do to help people cope with terminal illness, and their families, and they do it with such compassion and empathy.  We all hope we'll never have to use their services, but sadly, many of us do at some point in our lives, whether it's for ourselves or for a partner, child or for a parent like me.  Please help by donating whatever you can afford - thank you so much!
