Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
For those of you who don't know, I lost my mum
(Carol Kitney) to skin cancer (limphatic melanomas) on 2nd of July
2006. Throughout the 2 year battle Macmillan supplied some fantastic
nurses for her, they have an extremely tough job dealing with terminally
ill (more often than not) patients and they did with her, rest her soul.
Just because mum was scared and didn't really want to be alone the worse
things got!
These nurses are a crutch for most cancer patients, not only treating (wounds and the like), cleaning (helping with baths/showers), dressing but also keeping patients outlook as positive as possible, which understandably is an uphill battle. Macmillan obviously to do a multitude more than I can explain, my main dealings have been with nurses hence my gratitude for what they've done for me, my mum and my sister and, what they continue to do for millions of others.
I will be forever grateful for all they did and this is my incentive to raise as much as I possibly can to hopefully give a little back!
