Story
I DID IT! It was touch and go in the days before the event as I wasn't sure I would even make it to the start line. But I did, and I did all 100 miles! Thank you for your generous donations!

I am taking on the hardest physical challenge I have ever done by cycling the 100 miles of Ride London raising money to fund the organ scholar at Guildford Cathedral. I believe music has a huge therapeutic effect and lifts the heart and soul.
You'll know that I've been involved at Guildford Cathedral for many years. All Cathedrals are wonderful places but they need our support to meet the needs of the communities they serve.
Until September 2018 I had never been on a racing bike, until one of my sons hired one on holiday and let me have a go. This is the first time I have cycled 100 miles and I am finding the training very tough and have ended up in hospital once! It's clearly not my preferred mode of transport, but I decided to put my effort in to raising money for what I believe is a good cause.
I am specifically raising money to help the Cathedral fund the costs for a hugely talented young man who is laying the foundations for his musical future. William Campbell started playing the violin at 3 years old, and we're lucky enough to have him as our organ scholar (2019-2020) during his gap year, as he hones and masters his skills. As well as his own development he will be supporting our young boy and girl choristers as they provide angelic music to support our worship. William will definitely be one to watch!
Your support for my challenge would be much appreciated.
Thank you.
