Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

The Five Peaks challenge is being supported by the Chairman of Somerset County Council and is a charity bike ride covering the 5 sets of hills in Somerset in one day - some 140 miles and 10000 ft of climbing.  I am a keen cyclist but this ambitious even for me at a youthful 57.  I have never ridden that distance  in a day never mind over the sort of hills we have in beautiful Somerset.

So please, please help and encourage me by sponsoring me - I don't mind how much or how little - every penny counts.   I will complete the ride even if I have to walk it in order to raise money for the National Autistic Society..

The ride is raising money for two charities which are the focus of fund raising efforts by the Chairman of Somerset County Council.  I have a separate just giving page for the Somerset Trust for Arts & Recreation (STAR) if you would prefer your donation to go to this local charity that helps disadvantaged children in need in Somerset.   Donations to STAR can be made via my page at www.justgiving.com/fundraising/JulianGale.

So far fundraising is going well with nearly £20O pledged across my just giving pages and my hard copy sponsorships forms.   Thanks to all of those that have pledged money.  I won't let you down.
