Story
Thank you so much for visiting my Just Giving page for the Richmond 10km Spring Run. So Hettie and I, Cambridge art historians and Clapham flatmates, are running 10km in Richmond in just under 2 weeks which is rather hilarious because Hettie is super fit and I am less so. Hettie is hoping to run it in a good time and I am hoping to run (jog) the distance without crying.
We are both running this 10km for family members - I am running in memory of my much loved, sorely missed, silver Olympic medallist (!!) grandpa, David Coward 1917-2011. During his final few days, he and the rest of the family were given such care and support by the Macmillan nurses of Midhurst and we all felt very touched by their hard work and kindness. I want to remember DJ and help Macmillan to help others like us in the fight against cancer.
I would be so grateful for your support for Macmillan and any donations you can spare will really help to spur me on through the run. Every £25 you donate pays for a Macmillan nurse for an hour, to provide practical and emotional support for those with cancer and their families. Thanks so much (and please tick Gift Aid if you are a UK taxpayer!).
