Hello. Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am walking  around the outskirts of Gloucester on Sunday June 6th to raise money for the Pied Piper appeal. The charity was started in 1992 to improve the lives of sick children in Gloucestershire. Initially created to fund a new children’s hospital for the county, the Appeal now reaches out to help sick children from across Gloucestershire in many different ways. This particular walk is to enable the charity to purchase 5 "state of the art" monitors. They need £20.000 and I want to do my bit.

The walk is in several stages and the full walk is 25 miles. Whilst I may not be able to do the whole walk, I promise to do a least 15 miles, more if I can. I will let my sponsors how I get on, how many miles I managed and how many blisters I got!

I have been collecting sponsors in the "old fashioned"  way as well as opening this Just Giving page, and while I have been going around I have found quite a lot of people who have been affected by having premature or sick children in thier families, children who need the specialist care charities like this one can help to provide. Whilst we all hope that we may not need these monitors for children in our families, there will always be sick children who do.

So I hope you may feel that you can donate something for this cause. Any amount will be most gratefully received.
