Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Little story about wendy - Wendy worked with and nursed older people when young.  She always picked up rubbish in the street and supported many charitable causes through work with WRVS among other institutions.  She was a vibrant loving person and fab mum. She loved the colour red and was very much a character, she would have loved the red motor cycle I chose for her team logo.

Unfortuntely since her late 50's Wendy showed signs of early onset dementia.  She is now a shaddow of her former energetic and vibrant self.

She is my mum and I love her beyond words, but am very sad for her as the condition she has is slowly taking all her dignity away.

To remain positive about things I set up this site to raise money for reasearch into dementia and alzheimer@s charity in the hope that someone else wont lose their mum this way.

Your donation can really help people suffering from this degrading and awful condition which robs people of their personality and life

The  more people help to fund the research the more likely assistance will be found.

Remember: Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity.

They'll make sure Gift Aid (an additional 28%) is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer, too. That means more money goes to the charity, faster, with JustGiving.

thank you for reading this....Julia (Wendy's daughter)
