Story
I ran a marathon on October 5th, 2014 to raise funds for the John Thornton Young Achievers Foundation. The JYTAF was established in 2008 to honour the memory of John Thornton, a Royal Marines officer killed at the age of 22, whilst serving in Afghanistan.
The Foundation provides bursaries to young people, ranging from £150 to £2,000, to give them access to courses and opportunities to promote their personal development. Recipients are selected for their commitment to their chosen activity and demonstration of John's and hence the Foundation's key values: courage, determination, unselfishness and cheerfulness in adversity.
Any donation you can make will help young people in the south of England who demonstrate determination and drive, but do not necessarily enjoy all the opportunities and privileges that many of us had when we were teenagers.
Thank you for your support. Jules Sutton
