Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Those of you that knew my amazing Dad will know how AMD affected his life. It meant he could no longer drive, read or even recognise faces. He had to stop playing the sports he loved and even a trip to the shop became difficult. He endured regular eye injections and took part in clinical trials to aid research into this common condition. Everyday activities became more and more difficult and although he never complained, his family and friends were aware of how distressing it could be. My dad continued to live life to the full as much as he could until he sadly, as a result of an accident, passed away in September 2015.

I am honoured to be running the Great North Run in 2018 in support of the Macular Society and hope to raise as much money as possible to help fund research so that one day macular disease will be overcome.
