Story
2 years ago my friend Julia encouraged me to take part in a major challenge to cycle 400km in Sri Lanka to raise funds to improve the health of women. Sri Lanka was an amazing experience and opened my eyes to a whole new world.
Oh dear, I was hooked and signed up to cycle in Tanzania & Zanzibar. I have just returned from this trip which raised £430,000 between 140 of us. Fantastic.
Anyway, I am now committed to the JOGLE challenge in May 2015 and also Kerala in India October 2015.
Funds raised will support scientists and clinicians to specialise in research for women's health. They work in the research centre based at the Hammersmith in London, to improve prevention, diagnosis and treatment of a range of devastating conditions which cause miscarriage, genetic diseases, infertility, ovarian and cervical cancer and much more.
I know there are lots of charities asking for donations but please dig deep and help me support this very worthwhile charity. This subject is close to my heart as it has affected me personally, my family and close friends in various ways.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
