Story
On October 8th 2011 I will be at the start of my trek through the Grand Canyon in aid of the Marie Curie Hospice in Glasgow. The challenge involves trekking to Oak Creek, Havasu Falls, Mooney Falls, Beaver Falls, the Colorado River, Tonto Platform and Carbonate Canyon over 5 days. I will be forced to wash in waterfalls and camp in stunning locations - what a trauma.
I am taking part in this challenge because I know what a difference the Marie Curie Hospice in Glasgow makes to the patients and families that use the service. I have personal experience of the hospice both as a member of staff and as a relative of a patient. This is my small way of saying THANK YOU for the care that was given to my Granny and my whole family during her last few weeks.
Well, the challenge starts here. I have 7 months to raise as much as possible for the hospice, so this is where you come in. If you would like to help me increase my total and support a fantastic cause, please donate as much as you can comfortably afford.
