Story
Thanks for visiting my ’TEAM OLLY‘ fundraising page. This is a message from Olly himself, a young man who is a friend of mine and a bit of a dude (dont tell him I said that).
"Having gone through an operation to remove a tumour on his brain (aged 11) then chemo and radiotherapy, Olly still is thinking of others and wants to help them get through what he has just gone through.
Please read the message from him below and help us, help him to help others..
At present there is a massive contrast between my age group and the modern teenage unit.
I want us to have a voice !! The money raised is to be used to improve life for kids 9-13 years old in the RVI Children’s Cancer wards and within Radiotherapy at the Freeman.
We can then improve services for us like better food, comfortable beds for our parents, a chill out room, less dinosaurs and monkeys on walls,a better kitchen and internet and TV that actually works !!!!
I met with some of the top people from the Great North Children’s Hospital at the RVI yesterday with Mum and Dad. They really listened to my ideas and want my input to engage the opinions of my fellow patients. We have joined together to raise money for the Newcastles Great North Children Hospital Ward 4/14 and Charlie Bear for Cancer care charities.
Thank you,
’Together we can make a difference’
Olly 😘 xx
