Story
I am a GP and my sister Lizzy is a Urologist in training who’s research focuses on Prostate Cancer.
So daily we see how this diagnosis can affect individuals.
Every day 130 men are diagnosed with Prostate cancer in the UK. It is the most common cancer in men and is on the rise. We have a test, PSA, but its not perfect. There is so much promise in new tests and technologies to help identify cancer early and accurately and we need research to bring these to your fathers, brothers and sons.
Prostate Cancer UK funds research, supports patients and acts as there advocate at a national level....
"Prostate Cancer UK has a simple ambition – to stop men dying from prostate cancer. Through shifting the science over the next 10 years to focus on radical improvements in diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and support, we will stop prostate cancer being a killer."
