2015 Angkor Wat Half-Marathon · 6 December 2015

Cambodian Children's Fund UK is dedicated to improving the lives of young people from Cambodia's most destitute communities. Working with our partner organisation, the Cambodian Children's Fund, we provide life-changing education, nutrition, healthcare and vocational training to children & families

Story

Next month I'm running my second Half Marathon with the Panda Paddlers team, to try and raise some much needed funds for the Cambodian Children's fund. This year, 60 runners from the Panda Paddler's 2015 team aim to raise HK$300,000 (around £25,000) to try and help reach our annual target of HKD $1 million .

The money will contribute to fund 2 CCF projects:

Medical Clinic (HKD $600,000)

For many families in the Steung Meanchey area, a trip to the doctor is simply unaffordable, and many serious injuries and illnesses are left untreated. CCF's medical clinic provides free treatment to more than 2,500 patients every month (30,000 patients a year).

Sports and Arts Program (HKD $385,000)

With more than 2,000 children enrolled in CCF's education programs, our sports and arts programs require a lot of support. Play, both creative and physical, is an important part of every child's development. Studies show that an education in the arts or an active participation in organised sports can have an enormous impact on a child's life.

Please help to support this great cause!

Thanks

Josh
