Fundraising for Breakthrough T1D
We have completed our fundraising challenges and a BIG THANK YOU to everyone who has donated so far but please keep donating.
My brothers, Christian and Elliot and I decided to swim a mile in the Moreton Hall School swimming pool on the morning of Saturday 26th June 2010 and Elliot completed his first triathlon ( swimming , cycling and running ) at Oswestry School on the 19th July and won first place in his class. Congratulations Elliot. We are raising money for our chosen charity , JDRF ( Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation . Your donation will help us exceed our target and it will all go to JDRF.In case you don't know I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in March 2009 at the age of 8. Type 1 diabetes is a chronic, life threatening condition which has a life long impact on those diagnosed with it and their families. It normally strikes children and the incidence is increasing by approximately 4% each year and faster in children under five.
JDRF's mission is to find the cure for type 1 diabetes and its complications through the support of research .Thank you for your generosity and for sponsoring us online at www.justgiving.com/Joshua-Blount-Powell.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
