We support projects and facilitate research to promote mental health

Story

In November of last year my cousin Joe Harris was tragically killed in a car accident whilst doing charity work in South Africa.

Joe was outstanding in many ways, achieving an incredible amount in his 21 years and always with a smile and cheeky sense of humour. Joe was very competitive in sport, for example representing GB U21s in triathlon at just 17. In spite of being a brilliant athlete he loved taking part with his mates and loved ones, even though he had to slow down for us!

Joe was all about including everyone and would be the first to help those in need. He was a trustee of the Dominic Beer Memorial Trust, which supports community-based charities for people suffering with mental illness and often social isolation.

So yeah, on April 29th 2018 I'll be doing the Sprint Triathlon in memory of Joe and hopefully I can do him proud!

About the charity

Inspired by the lives of Dr Dominic Beer and Joseph Harris we fund raise to support community projects, raise awareness and facilitate research in order to promote improved mental health in two groups of people: adults suffering from Severe and Enduring Mental Illness and young adults
