Story
I am running the Great North Run 2021 in honour of my mam, Val Taylor, who passed away in April 2010 and for St Benedict's Hospice who looked after her. The Hospice have been a huge support to my family especially for myself, my Auntie Jan and my dad, Tony.
My family and I have been involved in volunteering and fundraising for St Benedict's Hospice since 2010. Over the last 2 years I have really caught the running bug and it has vastly improved my physical and mental health. A half marathon will be my longest run and my biggest challenge to date. I'm honoured to run for such a great organisation.
Here is a short description of what the Hospice offers:
St Benedicts Hospice in Sunderland offers free care, advice and support for patients, and their families, who have a life-limiting illness. St Benedicts Hospice has a long history and our experienced and professional, clinical and volunteer teams are committed to providing the highest level of care in the future.
Thank you for any donations
