Story
Thank you for visiting my page. (and hopefully donating!)
I was travelling with Seb and the rest of
the rugby team back from a tournament in Norfolk last Easter when a tragic
accident happened resulting in Seb falling from our coach at full speed. He suffered
terrible injuries which meant his right leg had to be removed at the thigh in
order to save his life. After
nearly 6 months and 30 operations in Addenbrookes, followed by 3 months at an
intensive rehabilitation centre for children in Surrey, Seb finally returned
home just before Christmas. He is now back at home with his twin brother
and has returned to school.
Before the accident Seb was an outstanding sportsman. Always wanting to be
the best at everything he did. He has now had to change his sports ambitions,
but is determined to excel in the future at paralympic sports.
The Seb Goold Trust’s initial aims are to provide Seb with specialist equipment, sporting advice and coaching over and above what he might expect through standard treatment to aid him in achieving his new sporting goals. Additionally there are other charities and funds that have helped Seb along the way that the trust would like to contribute to in the future.
I will be climbing up with my parents, my dog Max and Amelia my sister is joining us at the top for the descent.
Please see www.sebgooldtrust.co.uk for more information.
The Matt Hampson foundation is supporting the trust and as the Seb Goold trust does not have charitable status at this point the M.H. foundation has agreed to pass on funds raised to the trust.
