Story

Hi there everyone,

Firstly, thanks for taking the time to read my plead for sponsorship.

As some (most!?) of you know I recently broke my leg and dislocate my ankle (end of Jan). When I was sitting in my lounge with my cast on, bored and immobile it made me think that least I will be getting the use of my leg back. Some of these soldiers do not. I did mine playing a sport I love. Whereas the soldiers of our country put their lives at risk to ensure we can continue to go about enjoying our everyday lives in comfort and safety.

So, I have decided to show my appreciation and devote some of my time to raise money for our brave soldiers. I hope to raise this money by running in the Amsterdam Marathon on the 16th October. This is a massive feat in itself but I also have the added complication of having to complete the slow rehab of my leg, which is actually slower and more difficult than firs t envisaged. I hope you can appreciate the challenge I have ahead of me and can spare some money to show your thanks to our brave soldiers who protect us.

The charity I am donating to is "Help for Heroes," which is a very worthy and noble cause with the money you donate going towards helping wounded soldiers receive the very best support they deserve.

Please donate, not matter how small it is. It all makes a difference.
