Story

Roughly a year ago, some great work colleagues of mine, namely the Wetherby Wanderers made me an offer I couldn’t refuse...

I’ve worked at Wetherby for just over 4 years now, and during that time have participated in range of outdoor events such as the National 3 Peaks and Trekfest 50.

This one however is different and those who know me, know that this would indeed be an offer I couldn‘t refuse!

In just over 6 weeks, we leave for Everest Base Camp. The trek is 16 days in total and has been paid for in full by each of us. Every penny raised will go straight to our chosen charities.

Mine by the way is The Down‘s Syndrome Association. This great charity is celebrating it’s 50th year and supports people with Down’s Syndrome, helping amazing people live full and rewarding lives.

Thanks for reading, if you can spare anything to benefit this wonderful charity, I’d be eternally grateful.

I promise to keep you updated on our progress!
