Hey! It's Lewie and Jonny here, the amateur runners from Norwich and we do love a challenge! So, as you may know, we've decided that in May 2019 we will run the West Highland Way in Scotland... Start to finish... 96 miles! And for this ambitious challenge, we're raising money for two great causes.

We have been overwhelmed by the support we have already received towards our fundraising target of £2000 for The Big C who are a local cancer charity. We are so pleased to announce that we have decided to also fundraise for the Boudicca Breast Cancer Appeal. This is part of the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital Charity and they have set out to raise £800,000 for a new breast cancer screening unit. This aims to support people in speeding up assessment, diagnoses and treatment for breast cancers. 

We're both currently practicing as physiotherapists at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital and have seen first hand how many people are affected by cancer and how this impacts their day to day life. We hope that our challenge will raise a further £2000 for The Boudicca Appeal...boosting our total fundraising target to £4000 between the two charities. Breast cancer is something that has a special significance to Jonny's family and we are both committed to achieving our ambitious fundraising targets. 

We're excited to continue sharing our journey with you and we are thankful for all of your help so far...without this we would not have been so encouraged to host many more fundraising activities.

We are soon to be hosting a cake sale at the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital, followed by a Quiz and Burger night and finally....we will be announcing our grandest event in the coming week and hope to see as many of you there as possible. 

We look forward to continue sharing our journey with you on here and our social media pages. Our training continues to progress and we managed to see in the New Year with a 20.19 mile run along the Marriotts Way. We will be increasing our miles and frequency of running from now on in preparation for the run and any support you can give is truly appreciated!!!
