Taunton Marathon & Half Marathon 2013 · 7 April 2013 ·

We support thousands of people living with terminal illnesses & their families, in our three hospices, via our patient & family support services, and in the community through Myton at Home. We need to raise £12.7 million this year to provide our services free of charge – we can’t do it without you!

Story

I have decided to do the Taunton half Marathon again.

I posted a time of 1:55 last year

This year I hope to take 10 minutes off that time, despite a recent injury to the foot and no training thus far (10/1/2013).

I am running in aid of The Myton Hospice.

As some of you may know my Grandfather passed away just before Christmas. In his last few weeks he was taken in the the Myton Hospice, Warwick, where he was looked after very well by the nurses and carers there. They did a fantastic job ensuring he was as comfortable as possible and supporting my Grandma and the rest of my family.

At his funeral it was asked that any body who felt that they would like to do so, could donate to the Myton Hospice. I therefore felt it only right that I should once again destroy my feet and ruin my legs so that this Voulenteer run and donation funded organisation can continue to give other people and families the care and the support they gave mine.
