Anyone living in Manchester will have struggled not to notice the huge increase in rough sleepers in the past few years. Everyone knows you're not supposed to give money to people on the streets- so what are you supposed to do??

This year I am doing the Great Manchester Run for Big Change Manchester- they provide homeless people with the practical items they need to build new lives off the streets. This can include help with furnishing a new flat, purchasing crockery, pots and pans and bed linen, and travel to new accommodation.
