Story
On the morning of 24th April 2016 I will be making a long tube journey to Blackheath to the start of the Virgin Money London Marathon. Although running 26 miles 385 yards is challenging in itself (trust me I have done one before) this time I will be training harder than before in the hope to finish in under 4 hours. In the run up to the marathon and as part of my training I intend to partake in a number of other smaller challenges to get me ready for the big day which will include different running, swimming and cycling events (any suggestions welcome). Each of which I will post about when they are going ahead.
I have taken this opportunity to raise money for the Fiona Flower Fund, a charitable trust created in memory of Fiona Flower. The Fiona Flower Fund is a small charity that is close to Lois (my girlfriend) and provides funding for up and coming research into screening and diagnosis of cancers as well as the psychological and motivational side of the disease.
