We fund lifesaving research to to tackle heart and circulatory diseases

Story

There are two reasons why I have decided to embark on this challenge apart from the personal challenge of walking 25 miles over three mountains.

30 years ago my mother died of a heart attack at the age of 48. That was a tragedy for me and my family which perhaps could have been avoided by a greater knowledge of what makes for a healthy heart and blood system and recent advances in medicine.

I will be 48 this year and have been diagnosed with high blood pressure and high cholesterol and so have been prescribed medication for that, adapted my diet and got fitter. so, this is a way of giving back to an organisation that helps people overcome these sort of problems.

Let's see if I can make it...
