We help families find the strength to face everything cancer throws at them

Story

I've decided to try my hand (or rather feet) at the marathon this year.  I like to think of myself as a  "5k specialist" (ie I did a 5k race once) - although unfortunately there are an additional 37 km here so will be interesting to see how I hold up...

I do have a serious reason for running though and that is to raise money for the children's cancer charity CLIC Sargent.  Some goods friends of mine lost their little boy Nathaniel about a year and half ago to an illness he picked up while being treated for Leukaemia - and it's through them that I heard about CLIC Sargent and what they do.

The charity does a fantastic job, providing care and support to children and their families throughout this difficult time, from providing specialist nurses and social workers, to providing free accommodation near the hospital for families.

I would love to raise as much as I can for them - thanks for your support!
