Here we are... 3 Royal Signal veteran's apparently going through a mid life crisis and hoping to support a good cause while we make our way through it! 

We have chosen to raise money for East Durham Veteran's Trust.

The reason being is this charity has been set up by a fellow Royal Signals Veteran Andrew Cammiss and boy does he do a great job.

So, so many Veteran's are STILL taking their lives, there is simply not enough support out there. Andy has recognised this and instead of reading the posts on social media, shedding a tear and scrolling on he has stepped up, he has become that person to make a change and to be there for anyone that needs support.

There are many big charities for Veterans that do great things with lots of funds going in to them. But, what makes this charity special is that it is run by 'one of us', someone that has 'been there', someone that didn't sit in a classroom to learn how to understand what the squaddies have been through, he learned by experience, by going through the rough and the tough, hitting the bottom and REALLY knowing, understanding and getting what they are feeling. Something that textbooks just can't teach!

So, let's support a brother that is supporting our brothers and sisters in arms! Make a donation towards this charity and we will somehow, hopefully, get ourselves around the half marathon and you can all smile knowing that every single mile leading up to and on the day will be making us cry on the inside!
