Story
I race for Team Hard in the VAG Trophy and contacted Leukaemia Care to ask them if I can use my race car to help raise money for this fantastic cause. They agreed and I'm now going to be putting their logo over my race car for everyone to see to raise awareness.
This charity means a lot to me and my family as my dad has been battling Leukaemia for 2 years. He was first diagnosed after collapsing at home and being taken into hospital where his condition deteriorated and resulted in him being in a coma for several weeks. He pulled through this awful time and was discharged from hospital and began treatment from home. During this time family members were tested and luckily my dads brother Trevor was a match. He is all set to be a bone marrow Donor for my dad's transplant.
Dad has just completed his 4th round of chemo and is now in hospital waiting to find out if he can have his bone marrow transplant.
As a family we have been in this battle with him every step of the way and have been amazed by the level of support he has received from everyone from family, Friends to complete Strangers.
Last year we began raising for leukaemia care and my sister in law and cousin's wife signed up for the London marathon where we raised £5506.89 which we were so happy with. A huge part of this was raised during a fundraising day which we were lucky enough to hold at Bows Beauty in Orpington their support was invaluable.
I would like to continue to raise money for this fantastic charity and help them with the amazing work they do to support sufferers like my dad and their families.
Thank you very much for your support in my racing and appreciate every donation we receive.
