Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
About 6 years ago my sister Geraldine was diagnosed with breast cancer. After a tough battle and some difficult treatment, she made a great recovery. Sadly, in April this year she was told that the disease had returned.
Geraldine's courage and bravery, both in the past and again now, has inspired me to take on my own challenge, and in the process raise awareness and funds for the brilliant work done by Breast Cancer Campaign. At the advanced age of 47, running Brighton 2014 seems a pretty huge challenge, but quite honestly it's nothing compared to the one my sister (and so many others like her) is taking on.
But this cause has come to mean the world to me, and I am fiercely determined to raise as much as I can to help the great people at Breast Cancer Campaign to continue their research into fighting (and maybe eventually beating) this horrible disease, so that in future other families may not have to face such a scary adversary.
So absolutely ANYTHING you can spare, no matter how small, will be massively appreciated, and who knows, between us we may be able to contribute to making this horrible disease a thing of the past, or at the very least giving those affected by it a much better chance of beating it.
