Story

I am growing my beard in order to raise sponsorship for a Williams Gift that was set up by one of my colleagues. It is an amazing charity to help other families who go through the devastation of a child being admitted into hospital and who may require long term admission.

The charity was founded by my colleague Dave Fenton and his wife Jane who tragically lost their son to an intestinal disease aged only 6 years old. I would love to be able to raise some money to help fund care packages that this amazing charity provides to families who may unfortunately require their help.

I have not put a date on how long I will keep growing my beard but it will be at least a good few months and many of you will know this will be a complete change from my usual fuzz free style! The shaving of my beard will be posted publicly for you all to see.

The below is some information from Dave regarding his charity.

“Life in hospital can be very difficult for all concerned. We set up this charity in honour of our beautiful son William who passed away in December 2019, aged 6.William spent a lot of time in hospital, which had an impact on him and all of the family. The charity funds care packages for emergency situations, which contain essentials like toiletries and snacks. We also fund care packages for long term patients, which aim to cheer them up during long term hospital admissions. We are calling them our 'little box of smiles'Thank you 🧡”

Thank you so much for your sponsorship, it really will make a difference.
