Story

The world's greatest runner of all time, Haile Gebrselassie, once said "I haven't done a marathon for a long time. So we'll see. I will need good luck."  I too haven't done a marathon for a long time - in fact, my one and only was London 2007, a blistering hot day of 25'C, where I triumphed over the "great" Gebrselassie (who pulled out with a stitch)....

Following two and a half years of persistent hounding from Haile for a re-race, and spurred on by the prospect of another 'David v. Goliath' victory, I have finally decided to do it all over again.  Our battleground?  New York.

I will of course need "good luck", but more importantly YOUR support.  I'm hoping to raise as much as possible for The Prostate Cancer Charity, so p
lease help me!!  I'll finish the race and all I ask of you is a donation, of any size, to help reach my fundraising target.  I have pledged to make up any shortfall personally.

MANY, MANY thanks for your generous support - and for helping a truly worthy charity!

John
