Story
The world's greatest runner of all time, Haile Gebrselassie, once said "I haven't done a marathon for a long time. So we'll see. I will need good luck." I too haven't done a marathon for a long time - in fact, my one and only was London 2007, a blistering hot day of 25'C, where I triumphed over the "great" Gebrselassie (who pulled out with a stitch)....
Following two and a half years of persistent hounding from Haile for a re-race, and spurred on by the prospect of another 'David v. Goliath' victory, I have finally decided to do it all over again. Our battleground? New York.
I will of course need "good luck", but more importantly YOUR support. I'm hoping to raise as much as possible for The Prostate Cancer Charity, so please help me!! I'll finish the race and all I ask of you is a donation, of any size, to help reach my fundraising target. I have pledged to make up any shortfall personally.
MANY, MANY thanks for your generous support - and for helping a truly worthy charity!
John
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure, and can be done from ANY CURRENCY (yes, including the strong $AUD!). It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me. The Prostate Cancer Charity will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer/resident, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
