Story
Rhino monitoring in Lewa
For over a decade Marwell Wildlife has worked with the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy to develop people and infrastructure to support and implement wildlife research and monitoring.
Lewa is situated in the heart of Kenya and currently holds 62 Black Rhino (10% of the Kenyan population) and around 60 Southern White rhinos.
Lewa’s high-performance research and security teams monitor black rhino in a protected environment, combining age-old wisdom and cutting-edge technology. Their aim is to understand the species, enhance growth rates, and withstand the threat of poaching. Aided by highly trained security personnel, Lewa continues to be Kenya’s leading catalyst for endangered wildlife conservation.
Marwell Wildlife is creating a new position of Rhino Monitoring Officer and this position will need certain equipment to help in the monitoring and protection of their rhino. It is for some of this equipment I will be fundraising for.

Leaving appliances in standby mode consumes a significant amount of energy. Many appliances have a standby mode during which they are not providing useful output but still consume energy.
Small actions can make big differences, by switching off appliances not only do you reduce carbon emissions you also save money.
