I aim to lose 20lbs or 9kilos for those who deal in new money, I have wanted to lose weight for so many years I've lost count but the main reason is helping others while I do it.

Since 1980 Hartlepool and District Hospice has been passionate about caring for individuals and their families affected by life limiting illnesses or the death of a loved one. Over the past 30 years we have grown and developed, thanks to supporters like you, to offer a diverse range of specialist palliative care and bereavement support services to meet the needs of the local community.  Each year thousands of families benefit from services such as inpatient care, day hospice, complementary therapies, respite care, bereavement counselling and a children’s support group.   This year it will cost over £2.5million to maintain our services with only 20 percent of these costs being met by the government. This means that each day generous fundraisers, individuals, groups and businesses are helping raise £5,500 to allow local people to receive the care they need and deserve.   Thank you for helping us do this.
