John suffered with cancer for almost two years, and whilst John had always supported local charities, he gave greatly back to many charities that assist in cancer research and this local charity for others who have been in similar positions.

John was a selfless person who always would help others before helping himself, and raising a good sum of money would be a fitting tribute to him.
