My granddaughter, Abbie, is supported by CMT. One of the ways they do this is to organise young people's activities week-ends where Abbie can meet others who face the same challenge. Also,  some of their research has already helped with her treatment by raising the awareness of the syndrome amongst the medical profession. 

She recently has had a long painful and grueling time recovering from operations required to treat her side effects. Although still in a wheelchair she faces life and school with a beaming smile, fortitude and stoicism. This has inspired me, as an OAP, to get out and raise money for the charity that helps her and others like her.

I shall be starting on 23rd April 2014 St Georges day.
