It’s
cold, wet, windy and dark this time of year. Luckily lots of us are still able
to carry on as normal but there are lots of elderly men & women in our area who are unable too! Be it through dementia, transport or just lack of Friends and family. The Befriending charity (Good neighbours) covers the five towns and further afield. Although it is under the umbrella of (RVS – Royal Voluntary Service) its run by one lady & several volunteers based in Featherstone who use their own transport to go out and spend time with the vulnerable. I am looking to raise £400.00 from running this Marathon which would pay for one volunteer’s fuel for year. Please sponsor what you can afford and let’s try grow this Charity.
