Story

Today is the 9th year since the passing of my mom Janet Anne Griffiths. Myself, my youngest brother Jake and a group of friends which I will list below will be running 3km a day for 31 days in her memory. This is going to be a tough challenge for us all as we haven't trained or done any real fitness for quite some time. Our combined weight is over 110 stone and each man by the end of it will have completed 93km which will be a tremendous achievement.

Arron Handley, Craig Ball, Dan Watkiss, James Kelly, Matt Edwards and Russ Seymour. Thank you for accepting and agreeing to do this challenge with me lads.

Because of the interest and support that was shown early on we decided to open the Run 4 Jan Challenge of 3km a day for 31days in March up to others. The support has been quite overwhelming and i'd like to add these guys into the story. Adam Collins, Alex Nyari, Ben Squire, Corey Joesbury, Dan Wilson, Derry Cook, Gavin Fulcher, Graham Furnell, Harry Cunningham, James Alton, Jordan Evans, Marcin Gorski, Matt Draper, Nigel Hallam, Ryan Ambrose, Sam Bennett, Sam Cunningham, Tom Finch, Tom Sawbridge, Tommy Taylor. Also Mark Wood (Cycling 6.42 km a day) over the 31 days as he’s starting today with give him an average of 6km a day. Thanks for joining our journey guys!!

We will be sporting yellow t-shirts which is my moms favourite colour with a picture on the front and Run 4 Jan on the back. We would appreciate support from everyone so if you'd like to join us and do a 3km (Walk or Run) then make a donation that would be an amazing way of keeping the group motivated throughout the month of March.

Any donation, as little as £1 would very much appreciated and ALL donations will be gifted to St Giles Hospice, who we have linked in with this just giving page & I have called personally to let them know what we are raising money for them in this difficult time. As you can imagine as well as most businesses, charities have been severally impacted by Covid and we just want to give what we can. St Giles is a charity very close to our families heart and have chosen them specifically for how they treated and cared for our Mom in her final weeks.

Thank you for reading, on behalf of all my family. x
