Birdshot Uveitis Society is a charity & support group that offers advice & information to people affected with the potentially blinding, rare eye condition known as Birdshot Uveitis. Currently there is no cure, so we also raise funds to improve treatment and also increase public awareness.

Story

John F Hunt are riding from London to Brighton to raise awareness and funds for Birdshot Uveitis Society

‘Birdshot’, which gets its name from the spots that develop on the retina in the same splatter pattern as when lead shot is fired from a shotgun; is a rare & potentially blinding eye disease, for which there is currently no cure.

For hundreds of people across the UK who are losing their sight, raising money for research is vital for the success in finding less aggressive treatments to slow their sight loss down and make inroads to an eventual cure for Birdshot.

Any help you can give us would be brilliant…thank you so much!’
