This is the third time I've entered the Manchester 10k and the second time that I've ran it to raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust. They are an amazing charity that help the sufferers of CF deal with a horrible life affecting disease whilst offering friends and family advice on how to help support people with CF.
My beautiful little genius of a niece, Evie Margaret, carries the defective Delta F508 gene which means that she has difficulty clearing her lungs of mucus that can cause serious lung infections, CF also greatly reduces the ability to digest food properly. The life expectancy of a CF sufferer is savagely low and lung transplants are often needed to improve their quality of life. In short, it's bloody awful, a really horrible thing to witness and it is an absolute inspiration to see how such a brave little girl can cope with the condition as well as she does.
So please sponsor me to do this again, my company will match the first 500 pounds I raise and I'd love to smash the last total of 1,530 pounds. Please help the CF Trust find a cure for Evie and other CF patients like her. Thank you x
