It is over a year and a half since Lizzie's death, and nearly two and half since Doug's, both in the Martlet's Hospice in Hove. August 26 would have been Lizzie's 56th birthday, and to mark the occasion, John, Barbara and Doug's son Clifford, are joining a night cycle ride organized by the Martlets, leaving Sloane Square at midnight on September 3rd and covering the 54 miles - one mile for each year of Lizzie's life - to arrive in Brighton, ... well, when we arrive (hopefully around dawn on the 4th).

The Martlets offered Doug and Lizzie and their families and friends great support and kindness, and we would like help them do the same for others. So please give whatever you can afford. Thank you very much.
