I'm taking part in strictly come dancing because I lost a much loved and full of life work Colleague to cancer. As I watched her suffer, without complaining. One day I went to visit her she asked to hold my hand as her eyes started to fill with tears, she put her head on my shoulder whispered into my ear I don't want to go yet. I was struck by how indiscriminate the illness is and how helpless we remain in so many cases. I want to honour her extraordinary bravery in the face of the cruellest of illnesses and to support the vital service and treatment Marie curie team give to family's within all areas of the communities.
