This trip is special though, as we are highly motivated to support a wonderful charity called Embrace CVOC – Child Victims of Crime. As a detective, sadly I had the privilege to see their work first hand as they helped children and young people whose lives had been torn apart in the most unimaginable ways by the serious crimes of others. They provide vital support, counselling and a sanctuary to children and young people at times when the pain and confusion would overwhelm us all and often beyond. All children deserve love, security and the opportunity to thrive and Embrace help those whose experiences can be a world apart from those basic needs.

I would sincerely like to raise them some money as we trundle around the country sporting Lycra and proudly wearing the EMBRACE CVOC emblem on our shirts, hoping this will support them to continue their amazing work.
